Known to locals as the Hub of the North is an ideal rest stop for customers travelling to Edinburgh, Glasgow and Scotland or indeed from the North of Scotland down to London, we have many Lands End to John O Groats travellers. Ideally placed 1 mile (1.7km) from Junction 8 of the M61, M65 and Junction 28 of the M6 We seem to be in the centre of things.The railway and bus station are ten minutes walk and we are happy to book a taxi for you if the stroll with luggage seems dauntingWe are located on a town road that leads out of Chorley.5 minutes from the lovely Astley Hall and its Park grounds. Although Inglewood is quiet, we are well placed for all the town facilitiesThe Inglewood collaborates with the New Seasons Restaurant and Cocktail Bar, (walking distance) to provide a wonderful evening for our guests. The chef is the owner and the food is second to none with a 2 for 1 offer before 7pm. We are also lucky to have a Family Italian restaurant, Parmesan and Pepper and the Hyatt Indian restaurant also within walking distance. If you prefer a Pie and a Pint, The Sir Henry Tate a Witherspoons pub or the Swan with 2 Necks, recently refurbished and gaining a good reputation for good pub food are nearby. Not forgetting our Award winning chip shop where I send our American guests for the experience, world renowned, wonderful atmosphere and amazing home made plate steak pie! The Inglewood offers Speciality Breakfasts served from 7.15 am-10.30 Mon-Fri and from 8.30- 10.30 Sat and Sun morning. We only use Fresh Free range produce from Ashley Farm. The bacon is thick like the old days and the sausage is to die for! We do vegetarian breakfasts, fresh continental and have a varied menu if there s anything else you fancy. If you just need a quick snack, Tesco or Booths is a stones throw away You will receive a very warm welcome with a free pot of coffee or tea if you require after your journey.As you can see we are a small business with a very big heart. Try us, you won t be disappointed Blackpool pleasure beach is a 30 minute drive away. Southport, Botany Bay, Wigan Pier and Lancaster are also a short journey away. Manchester is 30 miles away and Liverpool and Liverpool airport are both about 25 minutes by car. Local towns include Chorley, Wigan, Leyland and Preston City. A grand Edwardian house, close to major motorways for easy access, 5 minutes walk to Chorley town centre and the peace and quiet of the nearby Astley Hall and Park. Road DirectionsFrom M6 leave at Junction 28. Turn right at t-junction onto A49, Wigan Road, straight through for 10 mins until you arrive at a small roundabout where you turn left onto the A581 - Balshaw Lane towards Chorley. Past Lancashire College. Inglewood can be seen on your right hand side.From the M61 junction 8.Head towards Chorley town centre past Astley Park on your right to the traffic lights. Town Hall right hand side.Turn right at the lights down St Thomas Rd which turns into Southport Rd , carry on to number 19 on your left hand sidePublic Transport DirectionsBus station - approx 10 minutes walk. Turn right out of Inglewood onto Southport Road, turning into St. Thomas Road (A581). At the Town Hall turn left then right onto Union Street, turn right after the market. Bus Station on the right.Chorley Train Station as above at Union Street, carry on to the end, turn right onto Shephered Way, train station is on your left.
